Do not like cliffhangers!!!! I spend several chapters of the next book reviewing in my head the last book, I read lots of books so waiting between books that are not stand alone doesn't do it for me. I would much rather be able to jump right into the story.That said I like the series, it is entertaining and the stories are interesting. That being said, this was my least favorite book. Too easy to figure out who the main villain was. I am hoping the storyline does not follow the way I'm thinking it might, if it does there would be nothing to make the book/series stand out, and I like that it has been different so far.Product details

While I absolutely adore H.P. Mallory and all of her books, I was quite disappointed with the inconsistencies. Two that specifically bother me are A the fact that in book 6 (or is it 7?) we find out that Bram is actually closer to 700 years old after he entrances Dulcie to teach her how to resist vampiric influence. After that scene where he admits his actual age, it isn't spoken of again, and this book tells his story as if he is only around 300. That's a pretty significant inconsistency. B Dulcie claims, in her own thoughts, while speaking to The Darkness that she doesn't know any other fairies, when we all know she had several encounters with Zara the hooker and worked closely with Christina during the Resistance, both being fae. There were more, but I can't think of them now off the top of my head. Regardless, I've chosen to ignore these mistakes and enjoy the books as they are simply because of how much I love the stories. I'm very much looking forward to the next one.
I enjoyed this story and seeing a different side of Knight and Bram was interesting. They are usually the ones in control and have it all together but not so much in this story. At the end you have to wonder much as Bram did, what became of Dulcie. I am looking forward to seeing exactly what did become of Dulcie but also of Knight and Bram.
When I began this series I instantly fell in love. As you can imagine I was in strong dismay when I read the last book. Truth be told I was physically crying knowing that this world was dead to me. I have read many of H.P Mallory's books since them but none of them ever coming close to the intensity that Dulcie O'Neil series brings. I was very excited to see this book come out. It definitely did not disappoint! It takes you back to the Netherworld and a background on my personal favorite character, Bram. Cannot wait until the next addition comes out!

This book.... So. Bad.
Basically, everyone has the same "voice." So when someone is rattling on and on saying the something three times to make the book longer, you completely forget who is talking.
There is an addition of a new character. Surprise, she's the big bad. And by surprise, I mean duh.
Surprise again, another cliffhanger.
Isn't the sex scene exactly the same as the one she wrote for the Underworld series?
This entire book should be three chapters long. The rest is repetition and repetitiveness.
Well, I hate to say it but I was a little disappointed with this book. I figured out who the Darkness was very early on and could have written the rest of the book. Sorry but this book just wasn't up to par. Hope the next installment is better.
The series started out funny and decent. By the last two books it has had far too many pages of boring fill (agonizing over why she doesn't love him or he does love her, exceedingly detailed sex, repetitive back story) compared to pages that actually progress the story. Facts change (is Bram 700 or 300 yrs old?, was he in Netherworld when he was young and met Dorie's father or on earth with his maker?). The editing is sloppy.
When a series heroine hits the point where every male falls in love or lust with her, I know it is time to quit. The cliffhanger ending is an obvious ploy. An author should take the time to plot out the story and write it well
Another story full of blah blah blah. A bunch of dialogue and not enough story. Only to end in a s*** cliff hanger. I am not a fan of how Ms. Mallory has added to the Dulcie series, and don't know why she had to screw up a HEA. I was happy with the way it ended the first time. I was excited to hear she was revisiting the series, and was hoping for more details about Dulcie and Knight's HEA; but this is not what we have gotten? And why are we hearinf part of this story from Bram's POV? This is supposed to be Dulcie and Knight's story. Bram totally could have gotten his own series... just sayin.
